This was a fabulous experience from start to finish and I haven't stopped recommending the service to anyone who will listen. To begin with, I'm a retired teacher with two of my three grandsons currently attending college so I come at this with a loving bias. My husband and I recently celebrated our 60th Wedding Anniversary in our home of 47 years. I took this opportunity to downsize, not by moving but by purging. Getting our house ready for our future, I decided to tackle the garage and the basement. What drew me to College Hunks in the first place was the policy of donating as much of the stuff as possible. We had building supplies in unopened boxes that could go to good use. Very little of our stuff would be considered junk (no offense taken).As to the actual service. Going to the website to make the appointment could not have been easier. I am not digitally proficient. As promised, a person called me a few hours later to get more information. A live person, on a phone is a somewhat endangered species but greatly appreciated. The night before, another person called to confirm the appointment. The day of, one of the boys called to tell me their ETA. One suggestion here, if I may. The first two calls did not come up with any caller ID information. Anticipating that, I began to answer the phone even if I didn't recognize the number. Good for me!The College Hunks themselves were very personable, polite, efficient, careful, respectful in how they handled the items and made their way back and forth in and out of my house.
