Successful moving company franchise gives back to the communities it serves
“Move the World” is more than just a company motto at College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving. It’s a way of life, which is why we participate in The Hunger Project in partnership with Feeding Children Everywhere. This is a systemwide effort that includes our moving company franchise owners and their businesses.
The Hunger Project’s goal is to help bring an end to child hunger here in America and around the world. Our partnership with Feeding Children Everywhere means that we can put our fleet of nationwide trucks to great use by helping load, transport and deliver the food supplies, tables and equipment to the many Hunger Projects taking place around the country. In addition to that, College Hunks provides two nutritious meals for a hungry child for every move or junk removal service we complete. This translates into an estimated 300,000 meals over the course of a year.
Each of our franchise locations is committed to doing their part in assembling and packaging healthy meals which will be distributed far and wide to kids, veterans and the elderly, many of whom don’t know where their next meal is coming from.
While doing good works is great for its own sake, it’s good for business as well. Entrepreneur magazine recently pointed out that companies benefit from giving back. They earn a good reputation and the respect of their employees, make valuable connections within the community and can use their charitable works as an extension of their marketing.
