As the leading stress-free junk removal and moving franchise, we made just a few highly effective tweaks to our business model to adjust to the industry’s new normal. These adjustments include:
- Curbside junk removal
- Express junk pick-ups
- No-contact quotes
- No-contact payment for services
- Extra support for franchise partners from home/virtual settings, including the services of HUNKS’ Sales Loyalty Center (call center)
- Training for new franchise partners moved to a virtual platform

As a purpose-driven, socially conscious company, our 135 franchisees throughout the nation and in Canada are also helping their communities cope with the pandemic in a variety of ways, including providing meals to those in need and moving medical equipment for health care facilities that couldn’t keep up with their workload. We also found that our franchise partners accelerated our no-contact junk pickup program, stored donations to be given to non-profits that were temporarily closed, and helped students, families, and domestic violence victims who urgently needed to move during the COVID-19 shutdown.
With more new franchisees now joining the College HUNKS team – even in the midst of COVID-19 – the College HUNKS Brand Central office is currently providing them with full support. This includes onboarding, pre-training, and training so that they can complete these processes and be ready to launch as soon as possible.
In the past 4 months, College HUNKS added 16 new franchise locations, and more are currently concluding their financing arrangements.
