9th annual ranking highlights franchises with high franchisee satisfaction
The College Hunks Hauling Junk franchise has earned a Franchise Business Review 2014 Franchisee Satisfaction Award. Recipients of the award were chosen by FBR based on surveys the organization conducted directly with each company’s franchise partners — 26,000 franchisees from 350 companies.
Now in its ninth year, the FBR 50 Awards are an annual ranking of franchise companies based on their level of franchisee satisfaction. The awards program is the only one to rank companies based solely on actual franchisee satisfaction. The survey includes 33 benchmark questions that relate to the franchisee’s experience and satisfaction as well as market area, business lifestyle and other demographic characteristics.
“2013 was a great year for franchising as a whole. Many of our top companies had the best year in their history, and their franchisee satisfaction reflects that,” said Franchise Business Review president Michelle Rowan.
The FBR 50 continues to be a strong tool for potential franchise owners, who are often willing to dig deep into their own pockets to become business owners.
Here’s what FBR says about says on their website about their research:
“For the prospective franchise buyer, investing in a franchise is one of the most significant investments and life-changing events they will ever experience. There are many factors to consider before buying a franchise and chief among those factors is satisfaction levels of current franchisees. Are franchisees getting the training and support they need to be successful? Do they value their relationship with their franchisor? Are they growing and making money? Would they do it all over again? These important questions can only be answered by current franchisees — the true franchise experts. The research conducted by Franchise Business Review is the most comprehensive study of franchisee satisfaction ever done and the results speak for themselves.”
In addition to the list of award-winners, FBR publishes their research in an annual resource guide for prospective franchisees. The report takes an in-depth look at the 200 award-winning companies, as well as the major trends that will affect franchisees in 2014. These trends include transparency, multi-unit ownership, lending concerns, international growth, and governmental regulation, according to FBR.
