5 Ways to Revitalize Your Home This Summer

The summer is a great time for tackling unfinished projects and for initiatives to happen.

A house entails endless work and with careful planning there are some great opportunities to tie up loose ends. Whether you want to rearrange furniture, clean out your attic or reorganize, there are dozens of ideas to implement.

1. Attic Antics- Attics aren’t very fun to go up into, especially if they’re clogged with all those unprocessed items. Many of these items can be thrown away, reused, or consolidated if they must be kept. The important part is to make decisions around the items.

2. Fresh Air – Indoor air quality is known for being worse than the outdoors’. Regular vacuuming, air filter replacement, carpet steam cleaning and even investing in air purifiers are regular ways to clean your house from the inside out.

3. Furniture Flip – Want to rearrange your furniture? Maybe a bed-set from downstairs would be more suitable upstairs or maybe the garage would better accommodate that foosball table. Repositioning key pieces of furniture is a great way to revitalize your room.

4. A Full Deck – What’s under your deck? Items can easily be stashed there instead of being thrown away and dealt with. Inevitably, the elements wear those items down, plants grow in the area and bugs find a comfy home in and around items.

5. Shed Some Clutter- A shed is another place for spontaneous storage to take place. Between old tools, electronics and other motor devices a shed becomes a storage unit. Make the best use of that space by organizing, removing junk, debris and trash and gathering tools you need for that particular space.

Feel free to come up with your own projects for your home. The important thing is to pick one and complete it. The more projects you complete the more momentum you will gain and the more satisfaction you will get from your results.

Whatever you decide, we wish you the best of luck with your home projects this summer, let us know if you need any help!
